Brand identity design for a small hotel brand
MOKUSEKI is a small hotel brand built on the stay concept "within your stay, the five senses gently unwind" — bringing a sense of space to both body and mind. Each guest room incorporates traditional Japanese materials and techniques, furnished with tools for hands-on experiences — rubbing prints (takuhon), calligraphy, matcha, and tea roasting — born from a wish to offer quiet time away from daily noise, facing oneself. We handled a wide range of visual creation, from concept-making through brand identity design, to product design for furniture and objects symbolic of MOKUSEKI — including the MS Chair and its storage boxes. We also designed Mokuseki Sans, an original brand typeface used across signage and amenities, to further strengthen the brand's identity.
